Many such businesses in mid Wales are improving their energy efficiency, recycling, water use and are aiming to reduce their negative impact on the environment as much as possible.

All the businesses will have been graded by the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS). GTBS is a widely recognised and respected international green tourism standard, so visitors may be assured that all graded accommodation will have undergone regular, independent audits of their green credentials. Also, all business have achieved good "star" grading with either VisitWales or the AA.
