Financial Support for Micro Businesses

Could your business or community benefit from more knowledge on renewable technologies?

If you are already involved with or interested in Renewables or want to find out more this project is for you!

Opportunities have included:

  • Greener Homes and Buildings Show 2009 - professional benefited from reduced cost spaces at the professionals day on 5th June to update their knowledge and learn about new and emerging technologies. 
  • Joint stand space at key events for Powys based mircro-businesses to promote the renewable or sustainable products or services they provide.  
  • Grant scheme for professionals in or those wishing to enter the sector attend visits, exhibitions or conferences which they feel would benefit their business of up to 70% of costs.
  • Renewable Energy Visit for Powys residents to the 2008 ‘Grand Designs’ eco house of the year, a straw bale home, in Pembrokeshire  - 20th May 2009 - see news page for more details on this visit. 
  • Renewable Energy Visit to the Hockerton Housing Project, the UK's first earth sheltered, self-sufficient ecological housing development - 25th June 2009 -  see news page for more details on this visit.

  • Low carbon living advice surgeries with the opportunity for businesses and individuals to get independant, specific advice on what would be best for their property - next on 13th February in Talybont-on-Usk - see events page for more details or contact us.

  • Opportunity for free stand space at events - would you like to see if an event is worth attending before you pay out stand costs to attend yourself?  If you have an event you would like to get free stand space at - let us know and we may be able to arrange a joint stand space with other local businesses so you can test the market without incurring costs.
