Welcome to Glasu
Welcome to Glasu.
We are a rural development initiative providing assistance and
support to businesses, individuals and community groups in
Powys.
Our activities are part funded through the Rural Development Plan
for Wales 2008 to 2013 which is financed by the European Union and
the Welsh Government, as well as Powys County Council and
Countryside Council for Wales.
Our new project for 2011 - 2013 is called 'A Resilient Powys'. The
programme aims to support the diversification and sustainability of
the rural economy and improve the quality of life of Powys'
citizens.
Glasu seeks to support individuals, communities and businesses to
become more resilient to the local, national and global economic
and environmental challenges that they face through the five
different project themes:
Farm Diversification
Business Innovation
Innovative Tourism
Community Resilience
Cultural Heritage
Collectively these deliver a programme of support and financial
assistance to encourage innovative, bottom-up, sustainable and
small scale initiatives, led by individuals, businesses and
communities.
Further information about the different project themes and project
officer details are available using the site navigation menu on the
left.
